RELIGIOUS FREEDOM

Religious freedom means that every citizen has the right to believe and practice their faith. Every human being chooses faith according to his conscience.  Freedom of religion means that we have complete freedom to live according to our beliefs .But no one has given us the right to despise another person's beliefs. Impose your beliefs on him or force someone else to change his beliefs.
There are many examples of oppression, coercion and injustice based on religion in human history.  History has shown us that coercion based on religion does not spread goodness in society, but rather creates hatred and prejudice between people of different religions. In such a society, some people try to establish economic monopoly and political supremacy over other groups and religions in the name of religion.  If an individual or a group in a society is given the right to impose its beliefs on others, then there is chaos in the society. Every human being considers his faith good and wants to stick to it.  Everyone wants the government to make no difference to them based on their beliefs. He should be given equal protection of law .Education.  Provide the same treatment and accommodation facilities. He should be given equal rights and freedoms as other citizens. He should have equal employment opportunities. He should have equal opportunity to participate in political decision making. For this purpose, the state has to be neutral in matters of religion. If states classify citizens on the basis of faith, then some citizens' rights and freedoms are violated. It is not the job of the state to justify one's beliefs.  It is important for the state to provide equal protection to places of worship of all religions and worshipers who come there.

EXTREMISM AND THE CAUSE OF VIOLENT EXTREMISM

Human society has been short of resources since its inception.  The man living in the forest also wanted to find water and food, and to occupy safe places to live. If it spreads in the society, it is not possible to quarrel directly over everything. Humans established government to seize resources.  Government is actually the name of decision-making power. The basic decision was who should be given the right to resources and who should be deprived of resources. Decision-making power is actually the power to control the distribution of resources۔Humans have used religion as a weapon for this monopoly as well as race, caste and gender. Every religion teaches goodness and justice.  The teachings of each religion teach human beings to live well and be kind to each other according to their times. All human beings follow their religions according to their knowledge and understanding. Elements of violence in the name of religion have nothing to do with the virtues and good teachings of religion. Such people consider it more important to interfere in the religious freedom of others than to practice religion. These elements not only finalize their understanding of religion but also seek to impose their will on others through violence and weapons. Violent religious extremism is not about promoting the teachings of religion, but about paving the way for exploitation and injustice in the name of religion.
There is no such thing as a modern society where people of only one religion live. Where people of more than one religion live, the right to religious freedom must be recognized.

HOW TO FIGHT RELIGIOUS TERRORISM

  1. It is the responsibility of the state to take practical action against religious terrorism. Ordinary citizens cannot be empowered to take up arms in the name of fighting religious terrorism.

  3. One should refrain from using one's own language and pen against offensive and divisive speeches and writings against any sect or religion.
  4. Instead of emphasizing the differences between different religions and beliefs, common values and principles should be highlighted.
  5. The state should be urged not to give preference to any group on the basis of faith and not to treat any group on the basis of prejudice.
  6. Education should also promote values and skills that can be debated in society without interfering with the beliefs of others, such as discouraging provocation and hurt in the media.
Respecting each other's faith creates love and brotherhood.  Helps to understand the virtues of each other's beliefs. The principle of equality of human beings is established. Tolerance and harmony in society increases.
