FEDERAL OMBUDSMAN

Circle of authority:-

The Federal Ombudsman's Office can receive complaints from all federal agencies.In addition to hearing personal complaints, the ombudsman may also take sou mot notice of any misconduct based on information, obtained from print or electronic media or any other source.In the same way, complaints can be taken from FATA(Federally Administered Tribal Areas).
The federal ombudsman cannot hear such complaints
  • Which is a part of a court proceeding at the time of filling the complaint, or which has already been decided by a court
  • Complaints about the defense of Pakistan of related to it, the military or the foreign policy of the country
  • Complaints that fall under the purview of any other ombudsman in the country
  • Federal Public Service Commission

PROCEDURE:-

The Office of the Federal Ombudsman can receive complaints from these agencies. Upon receipt of complaints from these agencies, the Federal Ombudsman independently investigates and assesses the victim.The recommendations made as a result of these investigations are also shared with relevant agencies to improve the system and procedures.
Citizens should always contact the office with complete information.Anonymous or incomplete information complaints are not processed.So before you complaint, make sure your name, address, complaint and demand are clearly listed.This application can also be made by visiting the Office of the Ombudsman, by post, fax or online at the Federal Ombudsman's website.
The federal ombudsman deals with a complaint within 60 days of receiving it.

PROVINCIAL OMBUDSMAN:-

Provincial ombudsman have been set up in all the provinces.The purpose of which is to protect the rights of the people, to uphold the law, to eliminate corruption and to eliminate the damage done to individuals by corruption, and to improve the system.The Office of the Provincial Ombudsman protects the legitimate and legal rights of citizens against mismanagement for a set and clear purpose.

OMBUDSMAN FOR WORKPLACE SEXUAL HARASSMENT

If someone in your workplace tries to send you a sexually explicit message or blackmail you, there are legal protections and institutions against it.The Federal and provincial Ombudsman for work has appointed sexual harassment to deal with such complaints.Apart from the federation, there are also ombudsman offices in Sindh and Punjab.

EFFECTIVE CIVIL SOCIETY:-

Hundred of organizations in Pakistan are engaged in advocacy efforts to  raise awareness of human rights, identify human rights violations and change policies in the country.The country has institutions and NGOs to protect human rights, women's rights, the rights of workers, the rights of children, the rights of disabled, the rights of prisoners, the rights of minorities and the rights of all classes.There are journalists' organizations, there are doctors' and  teachers' organizations, there are labor unions, there are student organization. Civil society is playing an important role in the promotion and protection of human rights in Pakistan.
